Fall has arrived and in Las Vegas, that means it’s time to take advantage of the most pleasant weather of the year at some of the city’s best restaurants with patios and alfresco options. Conveniently, there are several places to go where you can select from multiple outdoor dining options.
Bellagio is one of the best spots for such an experience because that lovely October climate is even more enjoyable when you’re watching those iconic fountains do their thing. One of the hottest spots in town right now is Wolfgang Puck’s legendary Spago (702.693.8181), partially due to the new brunch menu creating buzz and available Friday through Sunday. Don’t miss the brioche French toast with toasted almond streusel and berry compote, or the savory bacon-and-eggs pizza with Parmesan and leeks. You can also sit outside by Bellagio’s lake at Lago by Julian Serrano (702.693.8865), where Spanish-style small-plate dining is applied to Italian ingredients and favorite dishes. Start with delicate tuna or salmon crudo then move on to antipasto, artichoke and crab salad and tender lobster ravioli.
Just across the street at Paris Las Vegas, outdoor dining is available at three distinctly different venues that all offer terrific views of the Strip. The obvious choice is Mon Ami Gabi (702.944.4224), the French bistro long favored for a sunny brunch or lunch of oysters on the half shell, croque monsieur, trout almondine or steak frites. A different energy can be enjoyed at Hexx Kitchen & Bar (702.331.5100), known for its global cuisine as well as memorable desserts and cocktails. And upstairs gets casual with Beer Park (702.444.4500), a rooftop haven for barbecue, bar food and more beer options than you can imagine.
You don’t have to stay on the Strip to enjoy the outdoors with an amazing meal. Head out to Summerlin’s Red Rock Resort and experience Osteria Fiorella (702.797.7777), one of the city’s most talked-about new Italian restaurants serving primo pastas and much more. Its regal patio space is right next to another one from Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill (702.797.7444), where you could spend an afternoon or evening sipping sake and snacking on Hawaiian bigeye tuna poke, chicken lettuce wraps and teppanyaki beef, scallop or pork belly skewers. And the resort’s versatile American restaurant Hearthstone (702.797.7344) has one of the largest patio areas in the neighborhood, ready to accommodate groups of friends looking to feast on fresh oysters, pizzas, rotisserie chicken and prime rib.
Red Rock definitely has you covered on the west side, but just east of the Strip resides one of the city’s all-time favorite restaurants that happens to have a perfect patio that doesn’t always get noticed. Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar (702.364.5300) really does offer something for everyone, and if your something is sampling incredible and rare Italian wines outside during cooler temps—maybe with a sausage and rapini pizza or some crispy fried calamari—Ferraro’s has that, too.
