NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash.
Police said the crash happened at 4:58 a.m. Monday near Las Vegas Boulevard and Williams Avenue.
A 48-year-old man was crossing Las Vegas Boulevard North at Wiliams. Police said the driver of a Lexus was speeding northbound and failed to yield for the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was inside a marked crosswalk.
The man died at the scene. Police said the driver fled before police could arrive.
North Las Vegas police believe they are looking for a black 2007-2009 Lexus LS 460. The vehicle should have “significant” front and left front damage.
The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
