LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man and woman are dead following a Las Vegas house fire.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said they responded to a house fire near I-11 and Jones Boulevard Wednesday night.
Crews arrived at Catalini Street within four minutes. Firefighters forced entry and found two victims, a man and a woman.
Crews were able to get both of them out of the home while they continued to contain the fire. LVFR said the man died from his injuries and a woman was sent to the hospital in critical condition.
Thursday afternoon, officials said the woman died from her injuries.
LVFR confirmed with FOX5 that the two were “illegally on the premise.” The cause is still under investigation.
The damage is an estimated $50K.
“No current or recent Code Enforcement or Fire Prevention inspection activities are associated with this address,” Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says.
