NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Police share new details after a female pedestrian died on the scene of a crash Wednesday morning.
According to police, around 8:40 a.m. a semi-truck collided with a female pedestrian believed to be in her 40’s.
The crash happened at the intersection of Cheyenne and Pecos.
NLVPD discovered the woman was walking southbound on Pecos, crossing toward Cheyenne Avenue on the west side of the intersection.
Police reported she dropped some belongings and went to pick them up. The traffic cycle changed, which turned the eastbound light on Cheynne green.
The semi-truck then struck the pedestrian.
The North Las Vegas Police Department confirmed the driver of the semi-truck remained on the scene and did not show any signs of impairment.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim.
