LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A woman died in a crash at Decatur and I-11 on Halloween, Nevada State Police say.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. Police said a black 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck drove northbound on Decatur.
At the same moment, a pedestrian tried to cross east to west outside a marked crosswalk in front of the pickup.

A crash happened when the pickup’s driver slowed down abruptly to change lanes. The front of the pickup hit the pedestrian.
The driver stopped in the center median of Decatur Boulevard, just north of the I-11 off-ramp.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. The pedestrian died at the scene.
The woman’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner.
The investigation is being conducted by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol – Traffic Homicide Unit. 2024 Year to date: The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 62 fatal crashes resulting in 70 fatalities.
