LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Winter is coming to Lee Canyon this weekend!
Lee Canyon will open for its 2024-25 winter season on Saturday, Nov. 2. According to a release, Lee Canyon will be the second ski resort in the western United States to open this year, and the first in Nevada.
The Rabbit Peak chairlift for beginner terrains will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This will also be the first-ever overlap of the ski/snowboard and mountain bike seasons for the resort. Sunday will be the final day for downhill mountain biking.
“Lee Canyon’s investment in snowmaking capabilities lets us deliver this stellar combination of adventures to our guests. We’re also a team of passionate skiers and snowboarders, so an opening is a huge win for everyone,” says Josh Bean, Lee Canyon’s director of mountain operations. “Lee Canyon is totally committed to elevating our guest experience.”
Saturday will also be Lee Canyon‘s annual Pray for Snow party, happening from 1 to 4 p.m. inside Hillside Lodge’s Bristlecone Bar. This event is free and family-friendly.
More terrain will open as weather permits, and additional operating dates will be announced at www.leecanyonlv.com.
