LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police are investigating a deadly crash on Blue Diamond Road, 22 miles west of the valley earlier this month.
On Saturday, Oct. 12 around 11:12 a.m., state troopers responded to a crash on State Route 160, or Blue Diamond Road. Arriving troopers located the motorcyclist, 57-year-old Jersom Nolasco Briones, and took him to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
A preliminary investigation found that a multi-colored 2019 Indian FTR 1200 motorcycle was traveling south on Blue Diamond. Troopers say the rider then lost control of the motorcycle for “unknown reasons.”
The bike then traveled off the roadway and overturned, throwing the rider to the ground.
The rider would later die from his injuries while at the hospital.
So far, state police have investigated 60 crashes resulting in 68 deaths in 2024.
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
