LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A deadly wrong-way crash is causing delays along U.S. 95 in the east valley Friday morning,
According to Nevada State Police, the crash occurred on northbound U.S. 95 near Charleston Boulevard around 2:52 a.m. An initial investigation found that two vehicles were involved, one of which was traveling southbound in northbound lanes.
One woman, the passenger of the wrong-way vehicle, died at the scene, while several others were taken to nearby hospitals.
State troopers have shut down all northbound U.S. 95 lanes between Charleston and Boulder Highway. Traffic is currently being diverted onto Boulder Highway.
The area will remain closed for several hours during the investigation.
The public is advised to avoid the area.
