LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – As the Las Vegas Valley welcomes the fall season, the Clark County coroner provided the latest numbers in heat-related deaths.
As of Wednesday, 402 heat-related deaths occurred since the beginning of the year. At the end of September, the deaths were around 342.
The coroner says drugs could make people more susceptible to heat, including fentanyl.
FOX5 meteorologist Kyndell Kim says a cold and gusty system is coming into the valley and a wind advisory will start Thursday morning.
