LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide west of the Strip on Wednesday morning.
Around 6 a.m., LVMPD officers received reports of a battery in the Namaste Apartment complex in the 3300 block of Arville Street. Arriving officers located a man in his 20s suffering from blunt-force injuries inside an apartment.
An initial investigation determined that the man was inside an apartment with his girlfriend when her ex-boyfriend arrived. An argument ensued between the victim and ex-boyfriend that escalated into a fight.
LVMPD Homicide Lieutenant Jason Johansson stated that the weapon and suspect description have not been confirmed.
The suspect – identified only as black male adult – was last seen leaving the area, heading south on Arville.
Additional details will be provided by officers once the investigation is complete.
