One of the Strip’s more fun experiences has returned. Saturday afternoon tea at Veranda is a perfect way to spend an afternoon, and the newest incarnation of the service designed by executive chef Michael Goodman features the classic multitiered tray with sandwiches like deviled egg salad, turkey BLT and house-smoked salmon. And of course you can get scones! The ones here are served with Devonshire cream, strawberry preserves and lemon curd. Cap off those with delicate sweet bites like panna cotta, raspberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse and blackberry-almond tart.
Tea comes in a variety of flavors, from the herbal, floral notes of chamomile and jasmine to a good, solid English breakfast tea or a citrusy Earl Grey, among others. And if you like, you can indulge in champagne with your tea—Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut. Reservations are available from 2-4 p.m. Saturdays for $45 per person; $65 with champagne.
I think you’ll agree, this is one of the more delightful ways to spend an afternoon.
