LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—Vitalant teamed up with the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation earlier this afternoon to host a commemorative blood drive.
According to organizers, the blood drive received over 200 donors at City National Arena.
Each one of those donations can save more lives than one might imagine.
“You have the opportunity to save at least three lives, every time you give blood you can save three lives, just with a little pinch in your arm for two seconds, you can save the lives of three people at the hospital right now.” said Nancy Dewer, Vitalant Donor recruitment manager.
The drive ended at three, but you don’t have to wait for a drive to give blood.
Vitalant has three permanent locations and hosts multiple donation events around the valley.
Fox5 also caught up with a One October survivor who explained why she makes it a point to donate.
