LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Police arrested the driver in an east Las Vegas hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the pedestrian was already suffering from a stabbing in an unrelated incident.
The crash happened near South Nellis Boulevard and Lana Drive on Aug. 28 around 3:02 a.m.
Police said 39-year-old Auntrell Clark was involved in an altercation and walked onto the road outside a crosswalk north of the intersection. Police said he was hit by Ayanna Lillard, a 31-year-old from Las Vegas who drove a Dodge Challenger that night.
Clark died at the scene, according to police.
Police would find the Challenger and arrest Lillard on Sept. 30.
The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
Lillard is expected to make her initial court appearance Tuesday. A request for prosecution was sent to the district attorney’s office.
