LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – With Election Day more than a month away, Vice President Kamala Harris held another rally in Las Vegas Sunday as she continues to prioritize the battleground state.
Her venue? The World Market Center, where Donald Trump had held a rally two weeks before.
Both candidates have their eyes on Nevada and have announced additional visits in the coming weeks. During her weekend visit, Harris highlighted why Nevada is so important to this election.
She also discussed the issues of reproductive rights, the economy, and gun violence.
“After 1 October, Nevada proved that smart gun safety laws are common sense,” Harris said.
Harris would also discuss the importance of voting during the event. Throughout the evening Harris herself and many democratic leaders took to the stage to chant, “When we vote, we win.”
Nevada voters will receive a ballot in the mail, and in-person early voting still starts on Saturday, October 19.
“Now is the time you make a plan on how you are going to vote and I ask you to make a plan now,” Harris said.
Harris is not done with Nevada yet, she will make another stop in the valley on Thursday, October 10 for a town hall with Latino voters.
