LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are asking the public for help to find a suspect accused of Chinatown burglaries.
Police said the burglary series started in June. So far, there have been 29 incidents. The agency declared “major case protocol” and are using all department resources to solve the case.
LVMPD Deputy Chief Jose Hernandez said three burglaries started Wednesday morning around 3:20 a.m. at Spring Mountain and Wynn roads.
Cameras from Metro’s “Fusion Watch” team caught the suspect entering a business.
Hernandez says the suspect wears “distinct” clothing, that is very thick along with his gloves.
Hernandez says police are unsure if other people are involved. Metro believes that all of these incidents are one suspect because of how he walks.
Metro says the suspect has not burglarized any building twice.
LVMPD urges anyone with any information about these incidents to contact the Spring Valley Area Command Patrol Investigation section by phone at 702-828-2639 or by email at SVACPD@LVMPD.COM . To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 702-385- 5555, or on the internet at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
