RENO, Nev. (KOLO) –A GoFundMe has been set up for a Reno Fire Department firefighter injured battling the Davis Fire.
Alex Aldana is a 27-year fire veteran and has worked for the Reno Fire Department since 2005.
“During the Davis Fire Alex suffered a potentially career/life altering eye injury while helping protect homes in the St. James Village area,” his GoFundMe page said.
Firefighters were quick to get him medical care. He is recovering and “will be away from work for the foreseeable future as he works to possibly regain his eyesight,” the GoFundMe post said.
