LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV men’s golf team will open the season in Sammamish, Washington, at the Sahalee Players Championship being hosted by Washington from Saturday-Sunday at Sahalee Country Club (par 72, 7,007 yards).
THE FIELD: Competing in a strong 13-team field that includes eight top-25 ranked teams, the Rebels will hit the links against the No. 18 host Huskies, No. 2 Arizona State, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 10 Florida, No. 14 Arizona, No. 19 Texas A&M, No. 20 Oklahoma State, No. 24 Duke, Northwestern, Oregon, Pepperdine and TCU.
UNLV LINEUP: Representing the Rebels will be seniors Caden Fioroni, Ben Sawaia and Trevor Lewis, junior Wyatt Plattner and freshman Dillon Dean. Additionally, junior Brett Sawaia is set to compete as an individual.
SCHEDULE: Play begins with 36 holes on Saturday and concludes with 18 holes on Sunday. UNLV will tee off at 7:44 a.m. in the first round and 12:32 p.m. in the second round on Saturday.
