LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A student has been hospitalized Friday morning after a school bus collided with a public transit bus near U.S. 95.
According to Nevada State Police, the buses collided when both attempted to make a turn from MLK Boulevard onto northbound U.S. 95. The RTC bus was empty at the time of the crash, but the Clark County School District bus had 54 students on board.
One student was transported to an area hospital, and another four claimed injuries but were later picked up by their parents. The nature of the student’s injury is currently unclear.
The rest of the students were picked up by another CCSD bus and transported to their middle school.
Both buses remained at the scene, and troopers inspected the bus.
The ramp and roadway are currently open.
