LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Adoptable animals at The Animal Foundation will have their fees waived Friday and Saturday.
Shelter officials say this marks the 10th anniversary of the “Clear the Shelters” nationwide pet adoption campaign.
The Animal Foundation says they will waive adoption fees for all pets in the shelter, including puppies and kittens.
How to Adopt, according to the Animal Foundation:
- Browse adoptable pets online at The Animal Foundation Adoption Search.
- Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 11 AM each day, and adoption services may close before 7 PM if capacity is reached.
- Upon arrival, visitors can browse the kennels or speak with an adoption counselor if they already have a specific pet in mind.
- Pets cannot be placed on hold, and patrons often line up early for adoption events.
- Current pets should not be brought to the shelter. Dog-to-dog introductions are best handled outside of the shelter environment, where animals are less stressed. The Animal Foundation provides guidance on introducing new pets to resident animals.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, a microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations.
A $10 license fee may apply.
