LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A person riding their scooter died from their injuries after getting hit by a vehicle in Henderson.
Just before 9 a.m. on Aug. 26, the City of Henderson and Fire Department responded to a crash on West Broadbent Boulevard and Boulder Highway. Police officials discovered a black Mercedes making a U-turn when the vehicle collided with the electric scooter pedestrian.
Police officials said the EV scooter rider was hit by the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital, where they later died.
According to the initial report, the speed and impairment of both persons are unknown at this time.
Henderson PD is investigating the collision. They confirmed it as the fourteenth accident-related fatality in 2024 so far.
