LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Three German Shepherds rescued by first responders on a Las Vegas freeway are now available for adoption.
The dogs were rescued from the 215 beltway on Monday night by Nevada State Police. Troopers posted photos of the three dogs on social media and credited the rescue to the help of good Samaritans.
Animal Foundation spokesperson Kelsey Pizzi said the three dogs didn’t have tags, collars or microchips and made it through the multi-day “stray” hold with no one claiming them. The shelter named the dogs Bailey, Hailey and Kaylee and all are now available to adopt.
Pizzi also said the Animal Foundation is once again near capacity with 500 dogs currently at the shelter. Anyone who is available to adopt or foster is asked to contact the shelter.
