LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An 80-year-old woman died Tuesday, nearly a month after she was involved in a crash in the west valley.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified her as Gloria Kaiser, who died from blunt force injuries.
On July 26, Las Vegas police responded to a crash on North Rampart Boulevard and Del Webb Boulevard around 7:53 p.m. Investigators determined that a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north on Rampart, approaching a yellow left-turn signal at Del Webb. At the same time, a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover was traveling south on Rampart approaching a green light.
Police say the Malibu entered the intersection and turned left, traveling into the Range Rover’s path. The two vehicles collided, causing the Range Rover to travel off-road and overturn.
Arriving emergency medical services transported the 80-year-old Malibu driver, who was unrestrained during the crash, and a rear passenger of the Rover to UMC Trauma Center.
The woman’s death marks the 94th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2024.
