CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – The Nevada Supreme Court is declining to take up a case seeking to force the certification of election results in Washoe County.
In a written decision, the court says it is declining the case due to the fact that the county has since certified the results of the June 11 primary by a 4-1 vote. The court added that it felt as though it could not grant effective relief.
The court’s decision not to hear the case comes after Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford and Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar wrote the court asking for their ruling. Instead, the court said that a ruling on the case would be moot.
