LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 27-year-old man is fighting for his life after a Sunday morning crash in the west valley.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 7:57 a.m. on Buffalo and Alta Drives. Evidence at the scene revealed that a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north on Buffalo Drive, while a 1998 Ford Expedition was turning left onto Buffalo.
Police determined that the Ford’s driver failed to yield on a flashing yellow left-turn light and to the motorcycle’s right-of-way, causing a crash.
The motorcyclist was transported by first responders to UMC Trauma, where he was found to have life-threatening injuries.
The Ford’s driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police say.
“This collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section,” police noted in a release.
