LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – While the Las Vegas Valley continues to see temperatures around 110 degrees, the Neon Museum will be temporarily closed on Wednesday.
The iconic outdoor attraction serves as a “boneyard” for previous versions of Las Vegas Strip hotel and casino signs.
The closure was announced for the safety of staff and visitors. However, museum staff noted in an announcement that they “anticipate reopening in the evening as temperatures decrease,” but will continue monitoring the weather.
Visitors are encouraged to routinely check the museum’s website, which will list the current temperature in the area. As of Wednesday morning, the museum is seeing temperatures of 99 degrees Fahrenheit.
Those who have already purchased tickets are encouraged to contact the museum’s customer service team to confirm or reschedule tours at (702) 387-6366.
