LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) -A team with the Italian Air Force will perform a flyover of the Las Vegas Strip Wednesday.
The Aeronautica Militare is set to fly over between 1-2 p.m. from north to south over the Strip. The Frecce Tricolori that will perform the flyover is similar to that of the Air Force Thunderbirds.
Frecce Tricolori will take from from Nellis Air Force Base before continuing on their 2024 North American tour. They’ll be performing a July 4 flyover in Los Angeles and Huntington Beach, California.
“The upcoming season promises to be an extraordinary opportunity for the Frecce Tricolori as it will mark the long-awaited return of the National Aerobatic Team to North America after an absence of 32 years,” said Lt. Col. Massimiliano Salvatore, Frecce Tricolori commander. “This incredible adventure will undoubtedly be a historic moment in international air shows.”
The Las Vegas flyover is part of nine events and 17 flyovers the team is executing during the tour.
