LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An 82-year-old man is dead a week after an east Las Vegas crash, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said.
The man drove a 2021 Kia Soul. Police said he traveled south on Lamb Boulevard, approaching a stop sign at Hacienda Avenue last Tuesday night around 8:04 p.m.
Police said he failed to stop at the posted stop sign. He entered the intersection and struck a Lexus. Andrik E., a 19-year-old of Las Vegas, was the driver of the Lexus and was transported to Sunrise Hospital with “severe” injuries.
The 82-year-old was sent to Saint Rose Dominican Hospital with “minor” injuries. Police said they were notified by the Clark County coroner Monday that the 82-year-old man died.
“The death marked the 82nd trafficrelated fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2024,” police said. “This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.”
