LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said they are investigating a crash in the east valley involving multiple vehicles.
Monday morning, police said they have been on scene near South Nellis Boulevard and East Desert Inn Road.
Several people were taken to a nearby hospital. Police said one person died after being transported.
“This is an ongoing investigation, please avoid the area,” police said.
In an Instagram video, Las Vegas police said speed and reckless driving is suspected. This crash is the 81st traff-related death in LVMPD Traffic’s jurisdiction.
There are road closures in place. East Desert Inn Road and South Nellis Boulevard are closed in both directions near the crash.
