If you like your fine dining with a splash of celebrity, this week will provide more opportunities than you can handle. With the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix comes plenty of star power, and that includes celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay, Giada De Laurentiis, Lisa Vanderpump, Nobu Matsuhisa and Masaharu Morimoto, all of whom are making appearances at their eponymous restaurants as part of an action-packed race week.
Giada at The Cromwell offers a Morning After Trackside Brunch at 11 a.m. Nov. 19 ($250 per person), where guests can enjoy the company of the chef herself while noshing on her wide variety of Italian cuisine with a California twist, including smoked salmon carpaccio, lobster hash and sunrise polenta waffle.
Morimoto Las Vegas hosts an omakase dinner experience Nov. 16-18 (times vary, $175) at MGM Grand. Dinner is limited to 35-40 guests each night and features a five-course menu highlighted by beef, seafood and globally sourced ingredients curated by Morimoto.
Matsuhisa will give his fans an in-person sushi demonstration at his Caesars Palace Nobu location at 1 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 1 p.m. on Nov. 18 ($500 per person). Both experiences will feature delights like toro, A5 wagyu and caviar, and are limited to 14 people.
Vanderpump will host A Very Vanderpump Brunch at her Paris Las Vegas location, Vanderpump á Paris, at 11 a.m. Nov. 17 ($250 per person). Guests can enjoy some of her signature favorites on a specially curated menu, not to mention her family’s signature branded rosé.
Ramsay is attending two different events: Take a Seat with Gordon at Ramsay’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay at Harrah’s Las Vegas at 5 p.m. Nov. 16 ($250 per person), where Ramsay talks about the journey that led him to his sixth Las Vegas Strip restaurant as guests enjoy a curated menu; and Trackside Dinner with Gordon at Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 ($500 per person), where Ramsay talks about the impact Formula 1 has had on his life as guests enjoy a four-course menu designed by the chef himself (plus a personal gift).
The Formula 1-related fun continues at a plethora of other Strip venues:
Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has created a four-course menu at his eponymous restaurant at Aria, featuring wine pairings from Hundred Acre wines, available at his restaurant Prime at Bellagio Nov. 16-18. Vongerichten also hosts a dinner at Jean Georges Steakhouse on Nov. 17 featuring the whiskies of Yamazaki. In addition to enjoying a dinner curated personally by Vongerichten, guests will have the chance to sample from a private collection of whiskies unavailable to the public, including the ultra-rare Yamazaki 55 (only 100 bottles were released outside of Japan).
Le Cirque at Bellagio will host a Benedicte Hardy exclusive cognac experience from Nov. 17-18, including a personal appearance from Hardy herself.
The Le Cirque fun continues with a James Kent takeover on Nov. 17. The acclaimed chef and winner of the Bocuse d’Or USA 2010, will curate an exclusive dinner.
Carbone at Aria will host a Louis XIII dinner at 7 p.m. Nov. 16. The ultra-exclusive event is limited to 40 guests and includes an exclusive menu curated by Mario Carbone, including chicken Parmesan, wagyu tomahawk and the burrata and caviar service. The evening will culminate in guests raising a glass of the prestigious Louis XIII cognac.
Over at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, guests can enjoy an afternoon with chef Jose Andres at Jaleo on Nov. 17. The lunch will include a live recording of Andres’ podcast, Longer Tables, in addition to a sumptuous array of signature tapas, including paella Valenciana.
If you’re a Sapphire Reserve card member, head over to Mama Rabbit at Parkm MGM on Friday and Saturday; you can earn three times on food and drink purchases there, as well as enjoy the largest selection of agave-based spirits in Las Vegas, not mention rare mezcals and tequilas from across Mexico. (When Sapphire member check in at Park MGM for the weekend, they’ll receive both access to a dedicated check-in line and a special welcome gift).
Kusa Nori at Resorts World Las Vegas offers prix fixe menus on Nov. 17-18 ($195 per person), including a teppanyaki experience, and two six-course menu offerings featuring lobster and black hawk wagyu, Kaluga caviar, Shigoku oysters and more.
Genting Palace at Resorts World Las Vegas features a buffet from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Nov. 17-18 ($88 per person), which features handmade dim sum, roasted barbecue and miniature desserts.
Crossroads Kitchen at Resorts World Las Vegas will host a plant-based buffet from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 18-19 ($55 per person), featuring potato rosti, Florentine Benedicts and parfaits.
Brezza at Resorts World Las Vegas features a decadent brunch on Nov. 17-18 ($295 per person), including wine, caviar and cocktails, not to mention a live three-piece band and some of the most wonderful Italian food on the Strip.
