It’s the holiday season in Las Vegas and that means culinary experiences galore, from food to cocktails. Although some are available only on Dec. 24 or 25, plenty are available now. Reservations are strongly suggested, and especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (next Sunday and Monday).
At the Venetian, Bouchon (The Venetian, 702.414.2337; Dec 24-25) presents a special three-course menu and optional wine pairing. WAKUDA by Tetsuya Wakuda (The Venetian, 702.866.659.9643; Dec. 25) includes a prix fixe dinner of oysters, Canadian lobster, branzino, American wagyu and a selection of sushi. minimum of four guests. In addition to a special Christmas Day dinner with items like herb-roasted prime rib, whole roasted branzino and lobster agnolotti, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar (The Venetian, 702.297.6541; Dec. 25; brunch Dec. 23-Jan. 1) brings back its Ten Days of Brunch Celebration.
Enjoy Gordon Ramsay’s special touch on the menu at Ramsay’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay (Harrah’s Las Vegas, 800.214.9110; Dec. 25), which features prime rib with Yorkshire pudding and potato purée, plus pumpkin pie and sticky toffee pudding. Ruth Chris Steak House (Harrah’s Las Vegas, 800.214.9110; Dec. 25) offers a four-course menu with choices like potato-and-leek bisque, wagyu braised short ribs and Dutch apple pie.
Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar (The Linq Hotel, 702.794.3139; Dec. 25) serves a 12-ounce slow-roasted prime rib dinner and apple pie with Jack Daniel’s caramel.
Christmas dinner at Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse (Flamingo Las Vegas, 702.733.3111; Dec. 25) features duck confit, whipped feta salad and a 20-ounce bone-in ribeye.
The Bedford by Martha Stewart (Paris Las Vegas. 702.946.4361; Dec. 25) offers a four-course Christmas menu with such items as Big Martha’s pierogies, roasted turkey and pumpkin pie tart.
Head to Sugar Factory (3717 Las Vegas Blvd. S. 725.777.1216; through Dec. 31), for a festive pop-up menu of both drinks and food, like Santa’s Sip of Joy, a Nutella and chocolate hot cocoa in a Santa mug, marshmallows and candy canes included.
True Food Kitchen (Caesars Palace. 702.340.2600; through Dec. 31) offers a gorgeous holiday tower as part of its three-course menu for two. The tower features roasted butternut squash soup, turkey meatballs, apple and cranberry stuffing, charred cauliflower and butternut squash pizza (available to order separately); entrée choices include cacio e pepe, an elevated meatloaf and sustainable salmon. We recommend adding on a holiday cocktail sampler flight! Also at Caesars Palace, RPM Italian (The Forum Shops at Caesars, 702.860.2225; Dec. 24) presents the Festival of Seven Fishes, with a six-course menu featuring such items as king crab tortelli and seafood risotto. On Christmas Eve, Carmine’s (The Forum Shops at Caesars, 702.473.9700; Dec. 24) offers a Feast of the Seven Fishes for $350; feeds up to eight. Includes fried calamari, mixed seafood pasta, salmon oreganata and more for $350. For maximum choice, head to Bacchanal Buffet (Caesars Palace, 702.731.7928; Dec. 22-25) for holiday favorites from many cuisines, including herb-roasted turkey, roast leg of lamb, pork tmales and insalata di mara. Restaurant Guy Savoy (Caesars Palace, 702.731.7286; Dec. 24-25) serves up elegant dishes in a nine-course menu with items like foie gras terrine, seared duck breast and confit leg, and seared lobster.
The annual Feast of the Seven Fishes continues at Giada (The Cromwell, 855.442.3271; Dec. 24-25), with a tasting menu that will satisfy all the star’s fans.
Enjoy an eight-course menu at Le Cirque (Bellagio, 702.693.8100; Dec. 25) with gnocchi aux caviar, butternut squash velouté, braised veal cheeks and more. At Michael Mina (Bellagio, 702.693.7223; Dec. 24-25), a chef’s tasting menu on Christmas features Michael’s lobster pot pie and filet mignon “Rossini.” There’s also a special menu on Christmas Eve.
STK Steakhouse (The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. 702.698.7990; Dec. 25) offers a variety of holiday cocktails like Santa’s Egg Nog, with Santa Teresa 1796 rum, egg nog and Licor 43 horchata, and pumpkin ravioli and Dungeness crab with sage butter. Dive into duck confit, toro tartare and braised short rib at Catch (Aria. 702.590.5757; Dec. 25). Lemongrass (Aria, 702.590.8670; Dec. 25 & 31) offers savory tofu with minced chicken, tom zapp pork rib, Crying Tiger grilled ribeye and glass noodle salad.
Prime rib and a brown sugar-glazed Christmas ham are on the menu at Nine Fine Irishmen (New York-New York, 702.740.3311; Dec. 25).
Grand Wok Noodle Bar (MGM Grand; 702.891.7921; Dec. 25) has a number of specials, like braised oxtail with shacha sauce and tobiko crab meat fried rice. International Smoke (MGM Grand, 702.891.3922; Dec. 25) fires up roasted porchetta, sweet potato pancakes and coquito flan. Morimoto Las Vegas (MGM Grand, 702.891.3001; Dec. 25) has a special wagyu lobster roll and a 32-ounce bone-in tomahawk on offer. Get pumpkin bisque and pepper bacon wrapped filet mignon at Tap Sports Bar (MGM Grand, 702.891.7239; Dec. 25). Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak (MGM Grand, 702.891.7318; Dec. 25) presents a multi-course menu with Vermont quail, Berkshire ham, potato gratin and chocolate soufflé.
Tap Sports Bar’s (Excalibur, 702.597.7071; Dec.25) prix fixe menu includes wild mushroom soup, beef Wellington and cheesecake with berry compote. The Buffet (Excalibur, 702.597.7476; Dec 25) present holiday favorites as well as Latin-, Asian- and Italian-inspired dishes.
On Christmas and Christmas Eve, Diablo’s Cantina (Luxor, 702.262.5225; Dec. 24-25) presents a three-course meal with fish Veracruzano (pan-seared halibut) and a roasted corn and crab chowder bowl. Tender Steakhouse (Luxor, 702.262.4778; Dec. 25) offers a smoked prime rib meal with the trimmings.
Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar (Mandalay Bay, 702.632.8888; Dec. 24-25) features special items like warm winter squash and burrata, salt-crusted prime rib and red velvet molten cake. And at Rí Rá Irish Pub (The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, 702.632.7771; Dec. 25) enjoy an Irish Christmas dinner or a prime rib dinner with fixings.
An à la carte menu at Carversteak (Resorts World Las Vegas, 702.550.2333; Dec. 25) includes winter citrus salad with baby beets and shaved foie gras, potato leek soup, prime rib roast, and a classic yule log for dessert. Aqua Seafood & Caviar Restaurant by Chef Shaun Hergatt (Resorts World Las Vegas, 702.550.2333; Dec. 25) features short rib with red wine reduction and honey-bourbon carrots.
Find specials all over The STRAT, with McCall’s Heartland Grill (702.380.7777; Dec. 19-31) serving a dinner-and-dessert pairing of mustard-crusted Colorado lamb and eggnog mousse with caramel filling. Highlights from Top of the World’s (702.380.7711; Dec. 22-25) menu include truffled potato bisque, roasted duck leg and gingerbread cake trifle.
Slightly off the Strip, the German-inspired Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas (702.853.2337; Dec. 24-25) presents live music and seasonal items like Gebackener Tortenbrie (breaded, fried brie cheese) and Glühwein, a spiced wine, plus other specials on Christmas Eve and Day.
Scotch 80 (Palms, 866.942.7777; Dec. 24-25) cooks up Herb-Salt Crust Prime Rib. Add Maine lobster tail if that strikes your fancy. Over at Send Noodles (Palms, 866.942.7777; Dec. 24-25) , the roasted duck dinner comes with whole Hong Kong roasted duck, tempura green beans, a shrimp specialty wok and more.
At Barry’s Downtown Prime (Circa. 702.726.5504; Dec. 25), it’s like a holiday movie menu, with Duroc pork tenderloin and roasted prime rib with Yorkshire bread pudding as the stars, and Maryland crab cake and red velvet Christmas cheesecake in supporting roles.
Near The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, Vic’s Las Vegas (355 Promenade Place, 702.755.5299; Dec. 25) serves a special prime rib with blackened shrimp, plus the regular menu. Live music featuring holiday standards begins at 1 p.m.
A good choice for seasonal cocktails lies at the popular Golden Tiki (3939 Spring Mountain Road. 702.222.3196; through Dec. 30), which sparkles with kitschy holiday decor. Highlights include the Balls of Jolly, with rye, dark rum, cinnamon raisin, cranberry and pineapple flavors, available with a souvenir glass; and the Mai Tai for a Holiday with two rums, orange Curacao, winter spiced pumpkin orgeat and lime.
Don Vito’s (South Point, 702.797.8075; Dec. 25) offers a three-course meal with choices like oven-baked artichoke hearts, herb-roasted young turkey and caramel macchiato cheesecake, among others.
