LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released body-worn camera footage of the department’s response following a shooting at a Summerlin law office last month.
An attorney shot and killed two people before taking his own life on April 8 during a child custody deposition. Multiple emergency vehicles responded to a law office inside City National Bank near Pavilion Center Drive and Charleston Boulevard around 10:04 a.m.
Joe Houston, the accused shooter, was representing his son, Dylan Houston, in the dispute. Joe is accused of shooting Ashley Prince, Dylan’s ex-wife, and Dennis Prince, Ashley’s husband who was also representing her in the proceedings.
During the deposition that was underway before the shooting, there were four other people in the room. FOX5 spoke to one of those attorneys about what she saw happen:
The building was completely evacuated. Occupants of the building were staged at the Red Rock Casino nearby and were able to return to the building to retrieve their personal property later that afternoon.
