LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man was injured after a crash involving a single vehicle east of Las Vegas Blvd. on Friday night.
According to Metro police, officers responded to a call of an accident with injury at 10:43 p.m. on Cheyenne Ave., east of Las Vegas Blvd. A pedestrian was reportedly walking northbound across Cheyenne, outside of a marked crosswalk.
Police said that a driver was traveling westbound on Cheyenne when she observed the pedestrian in the same travel lane. She tried to swerve to avoid hitting him but was unable to.
The man hit the windshield and when he fell, he hit his head. The streets are shut down pending a medical update. Police said that there were no signs of impairment as a factor in the crash.
