LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – After missing the first games of the Vegas Golden Knights’ playoff run, Bruce Cassidy confirmed on Wednesday morning that Adin Hill will return to the net for Game 5.
In a press conference, Cassidy confirmed that Hill would start on Wednesday night against the Dallas Stars, but thanked Logan Thompson for his work getting the team this far.
“Start of the playoffs, we figured we would probably need to use both goaltenders,” he said. “It’s how we ran our team this year.”
The Golden Knights are currently tied in the series at 2 – 2, with Game 5 returning to Dallas. The VGK have emerged with two wins during their most recent time in Dallas, starting the series with a strong lead. However, the Stars found their footing in Las Vegas during Games 3 and 4, and eventually tied the series after a 4-2 victory on Tuesday night.
“I thought Logan has played well, put us in a good spot. It’s 2-2,” Cassidy said. “Done his job.”
Cassidy added, “Adin has been through this, so that’s a little bit that goes into the decision. He’s an experienced guy who has been in this position before.”
Puck is set to drop at 4:30 p.m. for Game 5.
