Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is withdrawing from the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off to “tend to an ailment, the franchise said today.
He was set to play for Team Canada. The team didn’t indicate why Pietrangelo wouldn’t be playing but was on the ice and dressed during pregame warmups.
Pietrangelo was one of seven Golden Knights selected to play in the tournament starting Feb. 12 in Montreal and concluding Feb. 20 in Boston.
It would’ve been the seventh time Pietrangelo played for Team Canada in an international tournament
