One of the most beloved Las Vegas Strip restaurants of the past decade has resurfaced at an exciting new location. Estiatorio Milos (702.414.1270) just reopened at The Venetian’s famed Restaurant Row, a new iteration of the Greek seafood favorite that has been enchanting diners at The Cosmopolitan since 2010. All that beautiful fresh fish flown in from the Mediterranean is back at the new Milos, along with a raw bar and an expanded offering of carefully curated Greek wines.
That’s not the only new restaurant at The Venetian bringing authentic flavors of ingredients from that region of the world. Brera Osteria (702.414.1227) recently made a stunning debut in St. Mark’s Square at The Grand Canal Shoppes, dishing up artisanal pastas, wood oven-baked breads, pizzas and fabulous platters of cured meats and imported cheeses. This new destination is all about social dining and happy hour, so round up your crew and get ready to share a memorable experience.
Let’s further explore Mediterranean and Italian cuisine all around Las Vegas. Just a stone’s throw from The Venetian, another seafood institution continues to build on its sterling reputation. Wynn’s Costa di Mare (702.770.3305) is a legend in its own right, authentic coastal Italian cuisine with fresh seafood flown in daily and a romantic waterside setting to match refined dishes like grilled octopus, rare langoustines and house-made pasta with lobster and crab.
For something more casual off the Strip, visit neighborhood favorite Meraki Greek Grill (702.202.1002). This easy-to-enjoy eater specializes in beef, lamb or chicken gyros, delicious falafel, skewers of meat served with salad and fries and quite possibly the best lamb burger you’ll ever experience, topped with feta and tzatziki on grilled brioche.
Farther west, Khoury’s (702.671.0005), a family-run restaurant, has been serving some of the city’s best Lebanese cuisine for decades. Creamy hummus and baba ganoush are must-try appetizers with fresh-from-the-oven pita bread, but don’t miss the sujuk (spicy sausage), lamb shawarma and farooj baked chicken basted with garlic, lemon and olive oil.
Another Greek favorite, Elia (702.284.5599), recently relocated to a larger restaurant space near the Lakes neighborhood with an expansive patio, better to serve its tasty spanakopita, pan-fried zucchini and whole grilled lavraki seabass. And on the opposite side of the valley in Henderson, two locations of the rapidly expanding Great Greek Grill (702.476.5818) are satisfying hearty appetites with stuffed grape leaves, huge fresh salads and grilled steak souvlaki.
That southeastern neighborhood is also home to the Pasta Shop Ristorante (702.451.1893), a warm and cozy experience created and operated by the Alenik family since 1989. Enjoying a meal here always feels like spending time with friends, and signature items like jumbo shrimp scampi, tomato basil polenta, salmon with lobster ravioli and pappardelle alfredo are just as popular and delicious now as ever. For a unique dish, try the teatro, black pepper pasta in a rosé red sauce with portobello mushrooms and sundried tomatoes.
How about one more pasta spot? La Strega (702.722.2099) in Summerlin has got the goods, from simple pomodoro with fresh basil and blistered tomatoes to mini rigatoni with calamari and spicy Calabrian chili arrabiata sauce. Save room for coffee mousse with amaretto cookies for dessert.
