The number of properties sold in Southern Nevada increased in 2024, a local real estate group reported this morning.
Data from Las Vegas Realtors found that 31,305 homes, condos and townhomes were sold in 2024, an increase from 29,069 properties sold in 2023.
The 2023 mark was the lowest since 2008, the group said. A record 50,010 properties were sold in 2021.
The median sales price of a single-family home was $475,000 in December, the group said, to signal a 5.6% increase from $449,900 in December 2023. The all-time record is $482,000 set in May 2022.
“All things considered, I think this month’s statistics paint a picture of a fairly stable and relatively healthy housing market heading into 2025,” said George Kypreos, the group’s president in a statement.
The year closed with 4,965 single-family homes listed for sale without an offer — a 31.8% increase from the end of 2023.
There were 1,763 condos and townhomes listed without an offer at the end of the year to represent a 55.6% increase from one year earlier.
The median sale price of condos and townhomes was $290,000 in December, an increase from $270,000 in December 2023.
