For a very Vegas brunch experience, Catch has us hooked. The Asian-influenced seafood and steak restaurant that brings a huge celebrity draw to its L.A. and New York City outposts made its star-studded debut at Aria in late 2018. It’s since built a stellar reputation for delicious food mixed with a dazzling ambience.
The environment demands attention from the moment you walk through the stunning, 80-foot-long, arched pergola in a rainbow of flowers, lush foliage, and twinkling lights. This entryway has become one of the most sought-after locations to capture those envious Vegas social media posts. The décor, including a beautiful garden-inspired main dining room, serves as a precursor to the cuisine that is deliciously designed to satisfy tastebuds, as well as visually excite. And the new brunch menu continues this tradition with aplomb.
Kick off the experience with a jolt of caffeine and some healthy, fresh-pressed juices. The toasted almond iced coffee is a must-sip for coffee lovers, with a smooth and silky blend of espresso, almond milk, sugar, vanilla bean, egg yolk, salt and toasted almonds. The green juice does your body good, packed with vitamins and minerals from a blend of celery, kale, parsley, pineapple, orange, and green apple.
What makes this brunch menu perfect is guests can still order Catch’s fan-favorite dinner options like the popular truffle sashimi. The melt-in-your-mouth slices of tuna and hamachi are placed in a pool of chili ponzu topped with caviar and black truffle purée. Other nigiri and sashimi options include eel, yellowfin tuna, uni, toro, salmon and Japanese yellowtail.
Another fresh-from-the-sea favorite is grilled Spanish octopus in a garlic aioli. The restaurant also offers its coveted A5 Japanese Miyazaki wagyu during brunch, served in 3-, 6- or 9-ounce servings and cooked tableside on a signature hot stone with a side of eggs.
For more of that brunch bite, though, order the new, not-to-be-missed cinnamon roll pancakes. With a slightly crunchy outside and soft and fluffy inside, the cakes get a brown sugar cinnamon swirl and are topped with cream cheese frosting, powdered sugar and candied almonds. For a real dish delight, and one that’s on the healthy tip, the egg white omelet deserves serious praise for its combination of egg whites, turkey bacon, artichoke, arugula and caramelized onions and goat cheese. The smashed organic avocado toast packs a powerful flavor punch, too, with a great heaping helping of avocados on sourdough bread and topped with sweet heirloom tomatoes and medium-boiled egg with a garnishing of pomegranate seeds, pickled chilis and radish slices.
A dish that’s a must-order for that totally Vegas brunch experience is the picture-worthy The Anytime Waffle Tower, suggested by the server to be brought out to close the meal because of its dessert-like quality. The triangles of gluten-free waffles are stacked high with vanilla, chocolate and raspberry ice cream in between the layers spread with raspberry jam and then topped with a chocolate ganache and whipped cream. Our favorite part? Dipping the waffle bites into the pool of blended, melty ice cream!
