There’s always something new in the Vegas culinary scene, but you don’t need to hunt down a brand-new restaurant in order to try out some fresh flavors or unique new dishes.
On the Strip, two familiar favorites just rolled out some enticing new brunch offerings. At Aria, Catch (877.230.2742) has doubled down on its glamorous, sushi-centric menu with a weekend midday program that combines signature dishes with sweet and savory new stuff. Revisit Catch faves like the salmon, hamachi and tuna tartare trio and the restaurant’s eponymous sushi roll with crab, salmon and miso honey, then branch out into beet-cured salmon benedict with poached eggs and hollandaise, smashed avocado toast with pickled chilies and over-the-top cinnamon roll pancakes with candied almonds and cream cheese frosting.
And Wolfgang Puck’s ultra-famous Spago (702.693.8181) just recently unveiled its weekend brunch menu, creating some impressive new dishes that will pair wonderfully with the fountain-side patio at Bellagio. Don’t worry, you can still get one of those smoked salmon pizzas, a perfect brunch bite if there ever was one. But don’t miss the rolled French omelet with king crab and fine herbs or the brioche French toast with Puck’s own toasted almond streusel.
Meanwhile in downtown Las Vegas, easygoing gastropub Eureka (702.570.3660) just unleashed new menu items and cocktails perfect for happy hour sharing or late-night feasting, including a bright and fresh ahi tuna poke stack, creamy eggplant and tahini spread, a neat dish of roasted beets and whipped feta cheese and a decadent truffle mushroom cheeseburger. And one block over at the buzzy Madero Street Tacos (725.204.6969), a satisfying new selection of Austin, Texas-style breakfast tacos are now available, wrapping scrambled eggs, chorizo, potatoes, smoked bacon and melty cheese inside warm tortillas. These tacos sound simple but hit the spot every time.
Out in Summerlin at the posh Red Rock Resort, the Bromberg brothers’ longtime Vegas favorite Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill (702.797.7444) now serves lunch Friday through Sunday. Indulge in their beloved chicken wings, served with chili sauce and wasabi honey, perfect grilled teriyaki salmon or pan-seared chicken over rice, a colorful chirashi bowl and a rich Snake River Farms wagyu beef burger. This is next-level lunching.
Finally, back on the Strip at Mandalay Bay, the versatile Citizens Kitchen & Bar (702.632.9200) has gone above and beyond its normally excellent menu by teaming with two beloved restaurant brands from Los Angeles to serve their most popular plates right here in Las Vegas. From Umami Burger, you can sample a variety of tempting milkshake flavors like cinnamon toast crunch or banana matcha to complement your pastrami burger or K-town burger with gochujang-marinated pork belly and Korean slaw. And Sam’s Crispy Chicken brings its Southern-style fried chicken sandwiches, spiced New Orleans-style or with trendy Nashville hot flavor, plus mac and cheese and creamy lemon smoothies. Citizens already had the goods, now you can take an L.A. trip without leaving the Strip.
