LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A driver is deadly after crashing into a metal rail on Pahrump Valley Highway on Saturday night.
According to Nevada State Police, the single-vehicle crash occurred around 10:04 p.m. on eastbound State Route 160 near mile marker 25, around 15 miles south of Pahrump.
A preliminary investigation found that the vehicle was traveling the wrong way and struck a metal guard rail after leaving the road.
The male driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Eastbound travel lanes were briefly closed during the investigation, but have since reopened.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
