LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police said a train car caught fire in the downtown area Friday evening.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue is also responding. Crews forced entry into the railcar and found several vehicles on fire.
Firefighters kept the fire only to the railcar. As of 5:34 p.m., crews are checking if the fire extended to other railcars.
Officials say no injuries are reported.
Southbound Main St. is closed from Lewis Ave. to Bonneville Ave.
“The scene is still active,” officials said. “There is no other information at this time.”
LVFR told FOX5 the vehicles were not electric.
