LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly crash in the southwest valley Thursday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred on Desert Inn and Buffalo Drive around 5:53 a.m.
Two people were initially injured in the crash, but LVMPD later shared that one victim died.
An initial investigation revealed that the driver of the first vehicle was traveling east on Desert Inn and was struck by another vehicle traveling south on Buffalo, which ran a red light.
Speed is also determined to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
