Netflix and MGM Grand are partnering for a “culinary residency,” Netflix Bites.
Netflix Bites opens in 2025 and will be in the hotel’s former Avenue Cafe space. Avenue Cafe closes Nov. 17, 2024.
Netflix, the popular streaming service, also had a Netflix Bites pop-up in L.A. that got middling reviews, but we’re sure the Las Vegas location will be much better because, well, Las Vegas.
Here’s a blurb from the news release: “From screen-to-table, fans and foodies alike will be invited to a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience offering guests a savory journey that combines inspiration from hit Netflix titles with MGM Grand’s renowned expertise in hospitality and immersive entertainment.”
If you followed our link to the story about Avenue Cafe closing, you’ll recall we wrote this: “While we don’t know what’s next for the Avenue Cafe space, you can rest assured it will be interactive and immersive.” This is not our first rodeo.
The idea is Netflix wants to exploit the success of its various shows, including “Chef’s Table” and “Drink Masters.”
Details are light about which chefs will contribute to the Netflix Bites menu at MGM Grand, but the L.A. pop-up was a collaboration between chef Curtis Stone (“Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend”), Dominique Crenn (“Chef’s Table,” “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend”), Rodney Scott (“Chef’s Table: BBQ”), Ming Tsai (“Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend”), Ann Kim (“Chef’s Table: Pizza”), Nadiya Hussain (“Nadiya Bakes”), Jacques Torres (“Nailed It”) and Andrew Zimmern (“Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend”).
We’re personally hoping the pop-up draws inspiration from “The Menu.” Fun fact: The aforementioned chef Dominique Crenn was a consultant on “The Menu,” and the filmmaking style was inspired by “Chef’s Table” on Netflix.
The Netflix Bites concepts are an extension of the service’s live experiences, including “The Queen’s Ball: A Bridgerton Experience,” “Stranger Things: The Experience” and “Money Heist: The Experience.”
Leave no revenue opportunity unactivated!

Despite Netflix Bites’ shaky start in L.A., we love new things in Las Vegas and the great thing about a pop-up is it’s not supposed to last forever (although, they always have the option to), so let’s Netflix Bite and chill or whatever the kids are doing now.
