LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police’ drone first responder helped reunite a dog with its family.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department posted about the rescue on their X page, formally known as Twitter.
Metro said their Drone as a First Responder unit spotted a lost husky running along the freeway lanes near US 95 and Decatur Boulevard. Police said the situation was dangerous for both the dog and drivers.

DFR officer Jordan Pelley and Shaun Ward guided the husky to safety on the shoulder. They were able to get the dog into their patrol vehicle.
LVMPD said they contacted the husky’s family through his collar. The dog was safely reunited with his loved ones!
After a little investigating, our team discovered the husky had a collar and located his nearby family. Thanks to the swift response of our DFR unit, this furry friend was safely reunited with his loved ones. 🐾💙
“Great work, DFR, for protecting both our citizens and our four-legged friends,” Metro said.
