LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County School District Board of Trustees have appointed a replacement for former Trustee Katie Williams.
In a Special Board Meeting on Wednesday, the trustees selected Nakia Jackson-Hale for the District B seat. Jackson-Hale was among the candidates being interviewed by the board during the meeting.
The candidates included:
- Lindsey Dalley
- Lydia Dominguez
- Robert Garcia
- Nakia Jackson-Hale
- Mary Kerwin
- Kenneth Rezendes
- Jose Solorio
- Brenda Talley
- Patrick Villa
- Dane Watson
Since the seat is also up for election next week, Jackson-Hale will only hold the seat for around two months before a permanent candidate takes office.
Candidates running for the seat in the General Election include Eileen Eady and Lydia Dominguez, who was also interviewed on Wednesday.
She will also be replacing former Trustee Katie Williams, who was removed from the seat after an investigation revealed she was no longer a resident of Nevada.
