LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV women’s soccer team’s 2-0 loss in its final regular season road match of the season at Boise State at Boas Soccer Complex on Sunday held no bearing on its postseason hopes.
Following the outcome against the Broncos (15-2-2, 8-0-2), the Rebels (7-9-2, 5-4-1) still received their first Mountain West Tournament berth since 2016 with New Mexico, Wyoming and UNR all playing to draws.
The Scarlet & Gray currently sits in fifth in the MW standings with one match remaining in the regular season before it heads to San Diego for conference postseason play.
The Scarlet & Gray reached double digits in shots with 10 total targets, but BSU came away with the deciding two scores in the first half as part of their 17 shots for the match.
UP NEXT: In their final game of the regular season, the Rebels will take on in-state rival UNR in a Halloween showdown at Peter Johann Memorial Field Thursday at 7 p.m.
