One of the treats for seafood lovers is Dungeness crab season, which is in full swing right now, including at Water Grill in The Forum Shops at Caesars.
Dungeness crab is sourced from the west coast of the U.S. (it’s named for Dungeness, Wash., but can be found up and down the coast from Alaska to southern California and it’s actually the state crustacean of Oregon). Water Grill’s crabs come from the San Francisco Bay area.
The slightly sweet crab can be prepared in numerous ways, and at Water Grill comes steamed, with drawn butter and homemade coleslaw. If you want to venture into lobster territory, the restaurant has charcoal-grilled spiny lobster from off the coast of southern California, also served with coleslaw.
Of course, there are plenty of other dishes to indulge in while you’re here, including calamari, big eye tuna poke, oysters, hamachi nachos, Alaskan black cod, Icelandic Atlantic cod, mahi mahi, sea scallops, and even steak.
