LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – It’s official – the Las Vegas Raiders are trading Davante Adams.
Reports emerged Tuesday morning that a trade with the New York Jets was being finalized, according to the NFL. In return for the wide receiver, the Raiders would receive a conditional third-round draft pick, that could become a second-round pick if Adams performs well.
The trade comes after Adams reportedly told the team he “preferred to be traded” before Week 5, according to Rapoport.
Head coach Antonio Pierce also appeared to like a social media post about Adams playing his last snap as a Raider during Week 3’s loss to Carolina. When asked about the post, Adams said he hadn’t heard from Pierce while recovering from a hamstring injury.
The trade would also reunite Adams with his former Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
According to the Raiders, Adams has appeared in 153 career games with 146 starts, recording 890 receptions for 10,990 yards with 96 touchdowns. During his time with the Raiders (2022-24), he registered 221 receptions for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns.
