LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Southern Hills Hospital’s newest emergency room in Desert’s Edge will host a mass casualty drill on Thursday morning.
The event will take place at the emergency room located on Blue Diamond Road from 11 to 11:30 a.m. According to a hospital press release, the training will provide staff the chance to enhance their emergency response preparedness.
Other regional agencies involved will include the Southern Nevada Health District, Metro Police Department, Clark County Fire Department, AMR, and Community Ambulance.
These agencies will simulate a mass casualty incident to practice coordinated, real-time communication, logistics, and triage protocols.
