LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Over the course of 5 months, Las Vegas police cracked down on an illegal Las Vegas brothel.
Police identified their three suspects as Changwe Gao, Leandro Seto and Enlong Cao.
According to an arrest report, detectives started their investigation on April 22 when they saw a prostitution advertisement online.
A detective made a deal through the advertisement to gain an address and time to meet.
The next day, police saw an Asian adult female exit a BMW and enter a Las Vegas residence. Over the course of two hours, police saw five men enter and exit.
“This was consistent with the time frame and clientele of an illegal brothel,” Las Vegas police said.
Police said their surveillance gave probable cause for detectives to set a 24/7 surveillance camera toward the residence. In a 24-hour period, 20 to 30 men would come in and out of the residence.
Background research by Metro confirmed the suspect’s identities. Police said the residence’s NV Energy bill was tied to Gao and according to the Clark County Assessor’s office, the home was owned by Enrose LLC.
Detectives would learn Enrose LLC is owned by Enlong Cao and Rose Cao.
From April to September, police would observe Seto dropping off females to the brothel and stay at the residence for long periods of time.
A financial investigation revealed that Seto would make large cash deposits to a Nevada State Bank account. From July 2 to July 30, police said $96,099 was deposited.
On Sept. 11, SWAT served search warrants. Two victims of sex-trafficking were located and Seto and Cao would be taken into custody.
Police said a sex-trafficking victim was smuggled into the US from China through Mexico. Cao was also smuggled into the US through Mexico about 20 years ago.
In an interview with one of the victims, she said she participated in prostitution because she had no where else to go and believed she had no choice.
In the interview with Cao, police learned he came from a wealthy family in China and had about $2 million wired to him.
When Seto was arrested, he told police the residence was a brothel.
Enlong and Seto were booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
