LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Public Utilities Commission of Nevada held the first of two consumer sessions this week.
These sessions allow the public to give their feedback on utilities regulated by PUCN, including NV Energy and Southwest Gas.
Several people spoke Monday, including some from the local non-profit Make the Road Nevada.
Among the most common complaints were rate raises — with some saying they are paying hundreds more for their utilities compared to the last couple of years.
All comments shared at the session or submitted in writing will be provided to the legislative commission.
There’s one more session happening in Las Vegas this week.
The next public session is Wednesday, September 25 at 6 p.m. at the PUCN building at 9075 West Diablo Drive.
